DAMA-RMC Thanks Our Outgoing Board Members for their service!
Thank you to our outgoing board members, Anna Hostrawser, Anni Proctor, and?Cher Fox,?for your many years of dedicated service and commitment to DAMA-RMC. Each of these incredible people spent countless volunteer hours to ensure the sustainability and innovation of our organization. Their work represents a commitment to our data community in our Rocky Mountain Region.?
Anna Hostrawser served as the VP of Data & Technology from August 2022 through December 2024. She consistently provided invaluable technical and data support during DAMA-RMC's transition to a new technology/membership platform and kept everything humming and running behind the scenes. Anna was a key player (although often in the background) of every event and always made sure our event technology was functional and operating smoothly to capture the wonderful presentations for all our speakers. We are thankful for all her knowledge and operational support.?
Anni Proctor served as the VP of Membership & Partnerships?from August 2022 through December 2024 and was a key partner in building our membership over the last few years. She was committed to ensuring our members voices were heard, that DAMA-RMC was providing value to all members and partners. Anni greeted all our members and guests at events and had great ideas for event topics, member engagement, and creative networking options for our members across the front range. Member events and happy hours won't be the same without Anni!
Cher Fox served as the VP of Communications and eventually as VP of Marketing & Social Media from November 2022 through December 2024. Cher?(aka the Datanista)?is an unstoppable force who's commitment to our data community was ever present. In both her roles, she spent countless hours building our brand and developing strategies to communicate and engage with our members, speakers, partners, and the larger data community. She provided consistent guidance and also financial support as a dedicated sponsor through her company, Fox Consulting. Cher was often the face of DAMA-RMC both through networking events, but also digitally, where amazingly, she quickly grew our social media and LinkedIn presence from very small number to almost 900 followers. She also offered her extensive data knowledge as DAMA-RMC event speaker.?
We appreciate each of you and wish you all the best in your next endeavors!

UML Class Model
The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a graphical language for modeling software.? The UML has a variety of notations of which one (the class model) concerns databases.? The UML class model specifies classes (entity types) and their relationship types.
This figure illustrates the characteristics of a UML Class Model:
The class has Operations or Methods (also called its “behavior”).? Class behavior is only loosely connected to business logic because it still needs to be sequenced and timed.? In ER terms, the table has stored procedures/triggers.
Class operations can be:
In comparison, ER Physical models only offer Public access; all data is equally exposed to processes, queries, or manipulations.
