9 年: It's wonderful how writer Melissa Repko tells the story: "Amarasingham conceived the idea for the software while working. . . . He had the tedious task of reviewing the medical charts of patients readmitted to the hospital. He noticed patterns and wondered whether the hospital could find ways to predict a patient’s risk of readmission and focus on those high-risk patients. He compares the software to 'an extra set of eyes to make sure everything is going according to plan.' He hopes the software brings joy back to practicing medicine."
