Sunday 10th September 2017

Good Morning Gentle Reader…. What a beautiful morning, the same cool breeze from the west as yesterday and not a cloud to be seen, just a heaven full of stars as Bella and I stroll through the streets together, it’s almost the Fall/Autumn and I have to tell you it’s my favorite time of the year, leaves changing on the trees, even in Spain they do that on some trees, we are seeing more exotic birds using here as a stopover before they fly south… Yesterday, after doing the weekly shop at Lidl we went to the beach and just relaxed, quite refreshing…and talking of refreshing, I thought, if it’s OK with you Gentle Reader that on a Sunday we could have something different, No Killings, No Deaths of Refugees, No Bombing, just something to make you smile.. Please tell me what you think in the comments section below…

BOATERS RESCUE SHEEP CAUGHT IN WEEDS ON WELSH RIVER…. A group of boaters traversing a Welsh river in canoes stopped to rescue a sheep that fell into the river and became tangled in weeds at the shoreline. A video captured by the tourists Aug. 27 on the River Wye shows a man working to free a sheep that was tangled in weeds by the river bank.

The man is able to lift the sheep into the canoe and take it to dry land. ''Whilst canoeing along the River Wye, one of my fellow paddlers noticed a sheep that had fallen into the river,'' the filmer wrote online. ''I set about to rescue the stricken animal and I was successful."

'AMATEUR GYMNAST' GETS STUCK IN BATHROOM WINDOW ON TINDER DATE…. A man is seeking money for a new bathroom window after his Tinder date got stuck while attempting to clean up an embarrassing accident. Liam Smyth of Cabot Ward, England, launched a GoFundMe page and retold the bizarre story that occurred after his date had trouble flushing his toilet. "I went for a poo in your toilet and it would not flush. I don't know why I did this, but I panicked," Smyth's date said. "I reached into the toilet bowl, wrapped it in tissue paper, and threw it out of the window." He went on to describe that due to a "design quirk" the dubious package was left lodged between a narrow gap between his home and a non-opening double glazed window. Smyth planned to smash open the other window with a chisel, but his date decided to try to fit into the space and retrieve the "poo" herself.

"Being an amateur gymnast, she was convinced that she could reach into the window and pull the poo out, using the tried and tested "inside out bag as glove" technique," he said.

After several attempts she successfully managed to reach into the space and grab the toilet-paper wrapped turd and pass it back into the toilet. Unfortunately when it came time to wiggle her way out of the space between the windows, she found herself stuck. "I grabbed her waist and I pulled. But she was stuck. Stuck fast," Smyth said. "Try as we might, we could not remove her from the window. She was stuck fast, upside down in the gap." After about 15 minutes of unsuccessfully trying to pull his date from the window, Smyth called Avon Fire and Rescue. "Bristol's finest were on scene sirens blairing in a matter of minutes," he said. "Once they had composed themselves after surveying the scene in front of them, they set to work removing my date from the window using all of their special firemen hammers and tools. It took them about 15 minutes." The helpful fire rescue crews were forced to decimate the window to rescue his date, but he managed to raise 445 pounds ($580 USD) to repair it…. ALL I CAN SAY IS HOLY CRAP! ..

MAN CAUGHT ON CAMERA STANDING ON ROOF OF MOVING CAR WITH NO DRIVER…. Police in China stopped a man who was caught on security cameras standing on the roof of his car while it rolled down a road without a driver. Security camera footage from a road in Bengbu, Anhui Province, shows the man striking a pose while standing on the roof of his car as it rolls nearly 2,000 feet down the road. Police said the man was seen reaching his foot down through the open sunroof to steer the car as it moved through traffic at a low speed. The man allegedly climbed back into the car and tried to drive away when he spotted police nearby, but he was stopped and cited for reckless driving and DUI.

Police said the man told officers he was celebrating after closing a major deal at a dinner party.

TRAIN STRIKES CAR PULLING ONTO TRACKS AT PENNSYLVANIA STATION…. A Pennsylvania train pulling into a station ended up smacking into a car that inched too far onto the tracks as the locomotive approached. A video posted to YouTube by witness Jason Schaedler shows the Reading and Northern Steam Locomotive approaching the Jim Thorpe Train Station about 11 a.m. Monday when a car leaving the station's parking lot pulls onto the tracks in front of the engine. The train strikes the car, sending it crashing into a nearby light pole. Witnesses said the driver and a passenger in the car were not injured. Train passengers reported they did not even feel the impact. https://youtu.be/4zO50AeUAq8

LEAKY TRAIN DRIVER STAYS DRY USING UMBRELLA IN INDIA…. An India train driver came up with an elegant solution to the leaky vehicle dripping water on his head -- holding an umbrella. The video, filmed aboard a train near Jharkhand, shows the train driver holding an umbrella while water leaks into the vehicle and falls toward where his head would be.

The filmer said the video was designed to draw attention to the need for repairs on the country's run-down trains. "Everyone talks about railway safety, but should train operators drive trains or try to stay dry?" the filmer wrote. https://youtu.be/3mr5FnfqdFU
