You have seen many articles, posts, blogs, Tweets (or is it Xs now?), napkins, keynotes and so on around which SEO tools and Chrome extensions to use every day.
Here is another one, tried and tested. And it won't disappoint!
In this article we will list our top 15 SEO Chrome Extensions to make your life easier and more efficient as an SEO. Each bullet point contains a link to the Chrome Web Store and a short description explaining why they are useful.
- Redirect Path - Useful for checking the path your URL follows and identifying redirect loops or redirect chains
- Ahrefs SEO Toolbar - Useful for enforcing a locale in SEO SERPS and quick viewing Ahref metrics (provided you're using
Ahrefs
). You can also save a list of URLs you identify and want to check in Ahrefs or switch user-agent.
- SEO Pro Extension - From our list we could not miss the SEO Pro Extension from
Kristina Azarenko
a great all around extension that allows you to view meta tags, schema, internal links and much more. All in one!
- Hreflang Tag Checker - Quick and dirty way to view Hreflang for a URL without having to fire up Screaming Frog or check the source code. Very useful and easy to use.
- NoFollow - Pretty self explanatory and simple to use. Flag any nofollow links on the page and divert link equity to not loose and SEO juice!
- Linkclump - The description written on Chrome Web Store is spot on. "Lets you open, copy or bookmark multiple links at the same time". You can also include/exclude links at your discretion.
- Web Vitals - Take a quick look at the CWV of your page. Great for comparing with actual PageSpeed results.
- Lighthouse - Developed by
谷歌
it does what Web Vitals does plus offers a comprehensive performance report of your site. Caveat it opens in a new tab so keep out for your pop up blocker.
- Page load time - No matter if officially page speed is or not a "ranking factor" do you really need a slow site? Your customer definitely does not have the patience for it. So take a quick look at your sites loading time with this Chrome Extension.
- View Rendered Source - One of my favourite as it allows you to spot any difference between your raw HTML and the rendered source. And it highlights any differences!
- Scraper - Sneaky and effective, the scraper is super useful for finding the xPaths of your element or gather sections/elements of your page with the same class. Very effective for highlighting products in category pages (PLPs) for eCommerce and using the xPath as we explained in a previous article on How to scrape products from any URL.
- Web Developer - Super useful for disabling/enabling JavaScript and spot any differences in your content. Can also disable CSS, Cookies, Popups and much more.
- Miro - One of my favourite visualisation tools is
Miro
and it could go without an Chrome extension to take screenshots of your page and upload directly to Miro!
- Loom - Same with Miro, if you are using
Loom
for video presentations or guides for your clients, the Chrome extensions is very useful and practical.
- Omnibug - Last but not least, Omnibug. This extension will show you any running tags on the page in user friendly way without going to Network or Application in your Chrome Inspector. It opens in a tab within the Chrome Inspector and lists all the scripts from your tools that are running on a page view or click or any event really.
We hope you found the list comprehensive and robust. And don't hesitate to reach out for advice on how to best use the above extensions.

1 年Do you ever create custom JS bookmarks? Sometimes I need something really specific and weird so I just create a JS bookmark. I'm sure there are better ways, but it's fun.
