Daily Marketing Haiku 138
Scene: Graybeard and Founder continue their discussion at the oak table, sketches and notes spread before them. Founder drums his fingers on the edge of his mug, eyes narrowing as he sifts through thoughts on product direction.
---
Graybeard:
Leans back slightly, crossing his arms.
"You’re building in the haze. That’s the nature of a startup before growth. Everything feels unclear. It’s frustrating. You think you should have the answers already, but that’s not how it works."
Founder:
Nods, still staring at the table, voice low but focused.
"But I feel like we’re spinning. It’s hard to make decisions when there’s this fog everywhere."
Graybeard:
"You’re right. The fog is real. But so is the path out of it. Clarity doesn’t come naturally, it’s fought for. Every decision you make is another light in the darkness. Every bit of feedback you take, every customer you listen to—it’s all about cutting through that fog."
Founder:
Sits up straighter, interested.
"So, how do we clear it faster? How do we stop spinning?"
Graybeard:
"By leading your team toward clarity on every front. It’s work. Intentional work. You simplify where you can, focus where it matters most, and keep hammering away until what’s hazy becomes sharp. Without clarity, hesitation takes over. And hesitation? It’s a killer."
Graybeard leans in slightly, his voice quiet but sure.
"Remember this... The clearer you get, the faster you move."
Clarity is key,
Confusion breeds hesitation,
Be clear, be concise.

1 个月Great advice, Doug. Without clarity, hesitation abounds. Just had to deal with this the other day. Love the context the chat provides - market input does indeed leads to clarity!! Thanks for the reminder!
