Ryanair Growth at Edinburgh Base
Ryanair has announced its Summer 2023 program for its Edinburgh base in a move hailed by the airport as “a real show of faith in the market.”
The Dublin-based carrier’s announcement includes increased route frequencies, new routes, and an additional based aircraft.
The six additional routes, starting in early March 2023, will take the operator’s destinations from the Scottish capital to a total of 69.

airBaltic to launch Nice and Milan services from Tampere
Latvian carrier?airBaltic has recently announced the addition of two new route services out of their Finland hub in Tampere.
Nice and Milan will be the two destinations that the carrier will serve in May, with a twice-weekly service applying to both routes.
Following the approach of airBaltic’s anniversary of their Tampere hub in Finland, the company has decided to announce two new routes connecting Italy’s Milan and Nice, the French Riviera, to their hub operations.

KLM latest in the scramble to China
KLM plans to increase services to China from 26 March 2023, subject to government approvals of the increased program. The airline becomes the latest to bolster its China network services.
KLM joins other European carriers in expanding its China network in response to the easing of travel restrictions by the Chinese Government.
The Amsterdam-based carrier is looking to increase operations to six times a week from its hub-home base to the Chinese Capital, Beijing, and China’s largest city, Shanghai.

Guam’s Asia Pacific Airlines grounded by FAA
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued an emergency suspension of Guam-based cargo operator Asia Pacific Airlines.
The suspension of the airline’s operational authority by the US regulator came after the agency issued a statement claiming the operator was “unable to demonstrate that its pilots were properly trained”.

According to the news source?Honolulu Civil Beat, the?FAA?issued the suspension order on Wednesday, stating?that the carrier had “failed to produce records showing that the two individuals who provide proficiency checks for company pilots were properly trained and qualified for the past two years.”

KLM Boeing 777 makes emergency return to Amsterdam
A scheduled KLM flight KL591 from Amsterdam to Johannesburg was forced to make an emergency return to Amsterdam today.
A KLM Boeing 777-200ER, registration PH-BQO, operating as flight KL591, had departed Amsterdam Airport Schiphol bound for Johannesburg at 11.00 AM local time today.
The flight was over the Mediterranean to the East of Menorca, Spain, at FL330 when it declared an emergency approximately one hour 30 minutes into the flight.
The aircraft squawked 7700 before initiating a return to Amsterdam Airport at FL280.

Turkey’s Aerial Firefighters Fight Blazes Post-Earthquake
Turkey’s aerial firefighters continue to fight blazes following the 7.8-magnitude earthquake in the?country, with footage being released of their efforts.
The incredible footage from Türk Hava Kurumu, Turkey’s Aerial Firefighters, shows TC-TKZ, a Canadair?CL-215-1A10, emptying its water tanks on the fires on the Alexandretta?(Iskenderun) port.
Nowadays, the aircraft remains with the Turkish Department of Forestation and is used to support programs and projects for serious emergencies.
This 7.8 magnitude earthquake has claimed the lives of over 17,000 people, which has been increasing on a minute-by-minute basis.
