• Paul Stoddart has been appointed President of GoCardless, leaving his former job as President of Mastercard's New Payments Platform.

• Demographics and technology in Latin America are generating new markets for financial services in population groups previously overlooked by traditional banks.

• Possible Finance, a Seattle-based lending company, just secured an extra $20 million and aims to introduce a new credit card.

• Nu Holdings Ltd., the digital bank backed by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc., is facing increasing pressure as the expiration of a large stock lockup approaches.

• Synpulse, a worldwide management consultant for global financial service companies, is pleased to announce a collaboration with fintech incubator F10.

• Truist, an American financial services business, has purchased Long Game, a mobile savings gamification game, to assist deploy new technologies.

• Based in Cape Town, Mama Money is proving to be one of Africa's fastest-growing fintechs, as its cross-border money transfer volumes doubled compared to the previous quarter, with the company aiming to double its market share by developing new services as it enters new regions.

• Mode, a London Stock Exchange-listed UK-based fintech startup, has revamped its Bitcoin reward program.

?? Metaverse & NFTs:

• UAE launches first official government headquarters in the Metaverse.

• A group of Chinese business organizations has issued a warning about the possible financial hazards of non-fungible tokens, which are digital assets that represent real-world things or intangible products such as music.

• Software company Nukkleus Inc. unveils its new website and brand identity to become a blockchain and fintech business.
