"Code a problem daily."
Something which I always like to do till now but couldn't able to do it since past 3-4 years.
Years passed away. Covid has become our new normal.
Whenever I open Linkedin, I see many posts related to daily coding challenges in Leetcode by recent graduates, Linkedin connections
Few of my friends were doing the similar thing which they like, “Painting/Drawing Daily”. This gave me inspiration and good push up.
Leetcode was very Interesting. Here is what I have done in the past 3 months
April, May:
- Try to open leetcode and at least read the problem
- I have solved few problems but couldn't catch up solving daily
- Debug and solve problems using IDE
June:
- I tried to open leetcode daily and solve it.
- I was able to know my strengths.
- I couldn't solve few questions at all.
- Referred online videos to get the algorithm or Logic behind the problem
- I solved few, I wasn't able to solve few even after that. I never gave up. Finally I was able to submit 27/30 problems in June
What is something which I liked in Leetcode?
- Acceptance Rate: For every wrong submission, acceptance rate gets decreased which reminds you to be cautious before submitting a solution
What I have stopped doing:
- Solving and debugging the problem in IDE
What I have started doing:
- Use as many print statements to debug the code
- Run as many custom test cases by my own
- Get grip over functions and syntaxes without intellisense. Compile till it gets successful.
I was happy for the effort that I have put in June month despite busy and hectic working hours, I know that I am not up to the mark, but the learning was constant and hoping the same continues
Happy coding
