1. Pastor E. A. Adeboye, Open Heavens, RCCG
Topic : Return On Seeds (2)
Text : Matthew 13:8, 1 Kings 17:8-16
Food for thought : The returns on your seeds are influenced by the spiritual depth of the soil in which you plant.
Lesson: When we sow into the life of a man of God, the returns can vary based on his spiritual standing. The richer and deeper the spiritual soil, the greater the yield of our seeds, ranging from 30-fold to 100-fold. It's essential to honor God with our seeds by sowing where He directs us. Sow into the life of a true child of God today.
2. Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, Daily Manna, DCLM
Topic : You Need To Take Heed
Text : Hebrews 10:19-28, Hebrews 10:26
Food for thought : There is no eternal security for backsliders or sinning Christians.
Lesson: Deliberate sinning leads to spiritual downfall. It's essential to remain watchful and prayerful, recognizing that even those once in fellowship with God can fall away due to carelessness. God's grace empowers us to live righteously, but it must not be taken for granted; we should continually examine our lives to stay true to our faith.
3. Dr D.K. Olukoya, Mountain Top daily Devotional, MFM
Topic : A Desperate Situation, A Desperate Cry
Text : Mark 10: 46-52, Psalm 118:5
Food for thought : Desperation sometimes drive people to do surprising things, even in the place of prayer.
Lesson: In our times of affliction, we should not turn to powerless solutions but call upon God, who is always within reach and ready to respond. Just as Bartimeus and the Syrophoenician woman received healing through their faith and persistence, we too can experience God's miracles by desperately crying out to Him.
4. Bishop Dr Mike Okonkwo, Wisdom For The Day, TREM
Topic : This Is The Era Of The Church
Text : Psalm110:1 Colossians 1: 12-23; Revelation 19:6-9
Food for thought : The Church is entering an era of unprecedented spiritual manifestation and power.
Lesson: As members of the Church, we are united with Christ, sharing in His death, resurrection, and victory over sin and death. This unity empowers us to experience miracles and spiritual manifestations naturally. By sitting in the authority of Christ, we are positioned to rule in the midst of our enemies, fully aware of our identity as the beloved and powerful body of Christ.
5. Bishop Dr Chris Kwakpovwe, Our Daily Manna, MPM
Topic : The Angry Village Chief: I Have Decided To Follow Jesus – 2
Text : Romans 8: 30 – 39
Food for thought : Will you hold on to your faith in the face of the greatest trials?
Lesson: Even when faced with losing his children, the man remains steadfast in his faith, showing his unwavering commitment to follow Jesus. Despite his wife's death, he continues to declare his loyalty to Christ, refusing to deny his faith. We must hold on to our faith no matter the challenges we face, trusting in the love and strength of Christ to sustain us.
6. C.A.C: The Living Water
Topic : The Temple Traders (I)
Text : Mark 11:17, Mark 11:15-17
Food for thought : Are you accepting inappropriate practices in the house of God today?
Lesson: We must uphold the sanctity and proper behavior within the house of God, avoiding any form of defrauding or inappropriate practices. Just as Jesus was indignant about the misuse of the Temple, we should also reject any form of commercialization in our places of worship. It is essential to maintain the purity and purpose of God’s house, ensuring it remains a place of prayer and reverence.
7. The Daily Fountain. Anglican Communion
Topic : Be Fruitful And Multiply
Text : Genesis 10: 15-32
Food for thought : God is faithful in ensuring that His word is fulfilled. Are you depending on Him today to fulfill His gracious promises to you?
Lesson: God's command to be fruitful and multiply is demonstrated through the descendants of Ham and Shem, who populated many regions. As people dispersed and multiplied, they fulfilled God's word. Trusting in God's faithfulness, we too can expect Him to fulfill His promises in our lives.
8 Daily Guide, Scripture Union
Topic : Atonement Day.
Text : Leviticus 16 : 1 - 19.
Food for thought : Since Christ has saved you from costly sacrifices that only covered your sins but could not remove your sins how loyal and honest and dedicated should you serve Him who has taken away your sins and declare you righteous before God?
Lesson: On the Day of Atonement, Aaron could only enter the Holy of Holies with specific sacrifices, but today, Jesus has made the ultimate sacrifice, allowing us to come to God in righteousness. We must approach God with reverence, humility, and seriousness, recognizing His holiness and our unworthiness. Let's not take God's love, mercy, and grace for granted; instead, we should serve Him with loyalty, honesty, and dedication.
