DAILY DEVOTIONALS SUMMARY THURSDAY JULY 18, 2024.

1. Pastor E. A. Adeboye, Open Heavens, RCCG

Topic: Flee Fornication

Text: 1 Corinthians 6:18, Ephesians 5:3-8

Food for thought: There is absolutely nothing worthwhile to gain or enjoy from fornicating; the result is always destruction.

Lesson: Beloved, there is no point in Christians entering into romantic relationships if the mutual intention is not marriage – a relationship like that is a time bomb, waiting to blow up its participants. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. God sanctions sexual relations only within the confines of marriage.

2. Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, Daily Manna, DCLM

Topic: Purposeful Planning

Text : Luke 14:25-35, Luke 14:28

Food for thought: Proper planning often prevents poor execution or failed projects.

Lesson: Purposeful planning is essential for success and prevents failure and regret. We must be diligent in planning our actions, considering all alternatives and available resources to ensure we are on the right path. Establishing a clear timeline and method of execution helps in achieving our goals efficiently. Seeking divine guidance ensures that our plans align with God's will and receive His blessings for success.

3. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Rhapsody Of Realities, Christ Embassy

Topic: Project Yourself To Your Next Level

Text : Proverbs 23:6-7, Genesis 15:1-6; Romans 12:2

Food for thought: Your mind is a powerful tool that can elevate you to the next level in life.

Lesson: We must envision our desired future in our minds to create and manifest it in reality. Using the power of mental imagery can transform our circumstances from limitations to abundance. Renewing our minds and thinking in line with our divine heritage as the seed of Abraham enables us to live a glorious and victorious life.

4. Dr D.K. Olukoya, Mountain Top Daily Devotional, MFM

Topic: Dealing With The Root Of Bitterness (2)

Text : Genesis 13:1-12, Hebrews 12:14

Food for thought: The root of all suffering is attachment.

Lesson: Choosing to let go of bitterness and forgive others leads to peace and a higher purpose in life. We should handle conflicts and disagreements with maturity and wisdom, avoiding bitterness. Forgiveness and a heart free of bitterness allow us to be a blessing to others and maintain our peace.

5. Bishop Dr Mike Okonkwo, Wisdom For The Day, TREM

Topic: You Are Righteous Even If You Don’t Feel Like It

Text: Romans 5:17, Romans 3:24-26; Hebrew 4:16

Food for thought: Your righteousness and worth are based on Christ's sacrifice, not on your feelings or actions.

Lessons: We need to focus on what Jesus did right instead of our wrongs. God's love and grace cover our past, present, and future sins, allowing us to live without guilt and condemnation. Embracing our identity in Christ empowers us to live boldly and victoriously.

6. Dr Pastor Paul Enenche, Seeds Of Destiny DIGC

Topic: Light- The Answer To Darkness

Text: Matthew 4:.1

Food for thought: You are only at the mercy of the devil if you are bankrupt of light or insight from God's Word.

Lesson: Light is the only answer to darkness. The revelation of the word of God is light that disarms the devil. This is why ignorance is a strong weapon of the devil. Beloved, arm yourself with light; arm yourself with the weapon of insight from God's Word so you can fight against the wiles of the devil. Search the Scriptures and let God reveal His Word to you.

7. Bishop Dr. Chris Kwakpovwe, Our Daily Manna, MPM

Topic: Her Breasts Were Preserved! Pursue The Spiritual First!

Text : 3 John 1: 1- 8

Food for thought: Prioritizing spiritual growth and the Holy Ghost baptism leads to miraculous outcomes in other areas of life.

Lesson A woman suffering from breast cancer got her miraculous healing through faith. We must focus on our spiritual life, spending disciplined time in prayer and Bible study. Growing spiritually can strengthen us and become the foundation for other testimonies. Trusting in God's power through the Holy Ghost can bring peace, courage, and transformative miracles in our lives.

8. C.A.C: The Living Water

Topic: The Unusual Miracle

Text: John 7:46, John 7:40-52

Food for thought: Faith in the power of God leads to extraordinary miracles, even in the face of skepticism.

Lesson: We must hold onto our faith, knowing that Jesus' divine power transcends human doubt. Miracles occur when we follow Jesus' instructions. In times of skepticism and disbelief, we should remain steadfast, trusting in the power of God to perform the unusual and the miraculous.

9. The Daily Fountain. Anglican Communion

Topic: Avoid Drinking Alcoholic Drinks

Text: Genesis 19: 30-38

Food for thought: Alcohol can impair judgment and lead to regrettable actions.

Lesson: We should avoid drinking alcohol to prevent being deceived and making poor decisions. By being filled with the Holy Spirit instead of alcohol, we gain the strength to live righteously and avoid evil. Choosing to stay sober helps us maintain harmony in our relationships and avoid the destructive consequences associated with alcohol consumption.

10 Daily Guide, Scripture Union

Topic: Keep All My Decrees And All My Laws!

Text: Leviticus 19: 20 - 37.

Food for thought: Living according to God's decrees ensures we uphold our humanity and honor Him, unlike the ungodly practices of idol worshippers.

Lesson: We should always prioritize how our actions affect God and our neighbors, demonstrating true humanity. It is crucial to maintain control over our desires and emotions, respecting the purity and dignity of others, especially young women. Our appearance and actions, including how we dress and treat others, reflect our respect for God's holiness and our commitment to living a godly life.
