DAILY DEVOTIONALS SUMMARY FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2024.

1. Pastor E. A. Adeboye, Open Heavens, RCCG

Topic: Discover His Purpose

Text: Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 19:20-21

Food for thought: It is good to be ambitious, but believe me, any ambition that negates the will of God will only cause more trouble than good.

Lesson: The only way to achieve genuine success in life is to go on the path that your creator made for you. You should find out God’s purpose for your life and walk in it. Stay close to God, and He will reveal His purpose for you here on earth. Make up your mind to obey His instructions, and you will indeed fulfill your destiny.

2. Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, Daily Manna, DCLM

Topic: Utilising Information Wisely

Text : Acts 25:5, Acts 25:1-5

Food for thought: Keeping confidence is a mark of Christian integrity.

Lesson: Divulging classified information entrusted in your care amounts to a breach of trust. It could also mean working against God’s will. Also, not acting on privileged information, including those that could save lives, is contrary to divine designs. Always remember that you shall account for all the resources that God has sent your way in this life.

3. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Rhapsody Of Realities, Christ Embassy

Topic: Superior To Angels

Text : 1 Corinthians 6:3, 1 John 3:1-2; Romans 8:16-17; Ephesians 2:4-6

Food for thought: The angels serve you as ministering spirits because of your identity as an heir of salvation.

Lesson: Christians are superior to God’s angels. Our superiority is the result of our identity, our oneness with Christ. We’re joint heirs with Christ, born of the Spirit of God. Unlike the angels who are servants of God, we’re God’s children. Presently, the angels are sent to serve us. We will be seated together with Christ on thrones, and we shall judge the world and judge angels according to the Scriptures.

4. Dr D.K. Olukoya, Mountain Top Daily Devotional, MFM

Topic: The Sleeping Giant

Text : Mark 9:15-27, Judges 6:12

Food for thought: The sleeping giant within every believer awakens when faith stirs the power of God to overcome any challenge.

Lesson: You are the sleeping giant, and God’s unmatched power is in you, ready to work when you seek Him and act in faith. When you boldly confront challenges in the name of Jesus, immediate change follows. Silence or inaction will not bring solutions; prayer and faith-filled declarations unleash God’s power.

5. Bishop Dr Mike Okonkwo, Wisdom For The Day, TREM

Topic: God Will Always Do You Good

Text: Isaiah 54:10, Isaiah 54:9-17, Philippians 1:6

Food for thought: You are part of a divine covenant through Jesus Christ, where God takes your case personally and ensures your victory.

Lesson: God’s unchanging kindness and covenant of peace assure you of His constant care and victory in every challenge. Speak the words of your Father in times of challenge because His love for you is everlasting, and He is committed to doing you good. The wicked will bow at your gate, and God’s glory will always be seen upon you.

6. Dr Pastor Paul Enenche, Seeds Of Destiny DIGC

Topic: Accessing Resources By Secrets

Text: Proverbs 24:3-4.

Food for thought: Resources are attracted to secrets available to you; your level of knowledge determines the level of wealth and riches you can command.

Lesson: If you want to have riches, you should have wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that others don't have, and they will gladly pay you for your information and pay for their ignorance. Make up your mind to access the secrets of God. Make demands on God to give you the power, wisdom, and ideas to get wealth for His kingdom.

7. Bishop Dr. Chris Kwakpovwe, Our Daily Manna, MPM

Topic: Seek To Be A Barnabas! Not A Paul!

Text: Acts 9: 23-28

Food for thought: In a world driven by visibility and recognition, the selfless role of Barnabas—encouraging and uplifting others—is indispensable.

Lesson: You should strive to care for others and encourage them, just as Barnabas reached out to Paul when he was a new convert. Like Barnabas, focus on building people up instead of seeking popularity, even if others, like Paul, take center stage. True impact lies in choosing compassion and support over personal recognition.

8. C.A.C: The Living Water

Topic: Define Your Value (I)

Text: 1 Corinthians 6:15, 1 Corinthians 6:15-19

Food for thought: Your God-given value is greater than precious stones, and how you protect and present yourself reflects that worth.

Lesson: You are created with unique value and honour, far exceeding that of gold or diamonds. Just as valuable items are safeguarded, you should protect and preserve the privacy of your body from public exposure. Your private parts are only reserved for your spouse. Treat yourself with the dignity of someone highly esteemed by God. Reflect on your worth in how you live.

9. The Daily Fountain. Anglican Communion

Topic: Bowing To God's Majesty

Text: Daniel 4: 34-37,

Food for thought: Right now, can you pause and recall the goodness of the Lord to you and your family from your time of birth till date? Have you found time to praise God for any terrible condition you scaled through?

Lesson: Many find it very difficult to recognize and honour God until they find themselves in horrible experiences, like Nebuchadnezzar. You don't need to wait until you go through a negative experience before you realize it is time to give God quality praise. Start today to praise God for all the daily benefits He loads us with.

10 Daily Guide, Scripture Union

Topic: Is your name in the book?

Text: Daniel 12:1-13

Food for thought: I live for Jesus, day after day, I live for. Jesus, let come what may, the Holy Spirit, I will obey; I live for Jesus, day after day.

Lesson: Your eternal destiny depends on whether your name is written in God’s book of life, reserved for those trusting in Christ. You ensure your name is in God’s book of life by seeking forgiveness for your sins and trusting in Christ’s death for your salvation. Actively lead others to faith in God, as this is part of your purpose and promise in Him.
