DAILY DEVOTIONALS SUMMARY FRIDAY MAY 10, 2024.
AGWOR EMMANUELLA??MSc. Bsc.
Project/Procurement manager; Finance consultant; Administrative Executive Assistant; Graphics designs; Employment relationship Advocate.
1. Pastor E. A. Adeboye, Open Heavens, RCCG
Topic: The Snare of The Fowler (V)
Text: 2 Corinthians 10:18, Judges 16:4-21
Food for thought: When you are lured to do something to show off, beware!
Lesson: Usually, the enemy catches people who think that they can never be caught. Peter confidently declared his loyalty before denying Jesus. Samson fell because he was over-confident. Pride goes before a fall. Let he that thinks he stands take heed lest he falls.
2. Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, Daily Manna, DCLM
Topic: Beyond Comprehension
Text: Isaiah 40:17, Isaiah 40:12-18
Food for thought: The truly blind man is he who stares at the wonders of the universe and does not see God in them.
Lesson: In contemplating the divine, we're confronted with the vastness of God's glory, beyond our human comprehension. His works and creation evoke awe and humility, reminding us of His incomparable greatness. As we share our faith, we're tasked with introducing others to the incomprehensible majesty of God. They need to know there is a God greater than the marvels of science, technology, and artificial intelligence of the age.
3. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Rhapsody Of Realities, Christ Embassy
Topic: Speaking Mysteries In The Spirit
Text : 1 Corinthians 2:7, Psalm 25:14; Luke 8:10; 1 Corinthians 2:6-7
Food for thought: When we pray in tongues, we’re uttering divine mysteries inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Lesson: Life is full of mysteries, unanswered questions, events, and activities beyond human understanding. As Christians, our way of dealing with these mysteries is by speaking mysteries. Rather than wonder about negative circumstances, we cancel them by speaking spiritual mysteries. Pray in tongues always.
4. Dr D.K. Olukoya, Mountain Top Daily Devotional, MFM
Topic: Your Dry Bones Shall Rise Again
Text : Ezekiel 37:1-10, John 11:25
Food for thought: It is never too late for dry and lifeless situations in your life to live again.
Lesson: In times of lifelessness, God's power can revive even the most hopeless situations. No matter the area of dryness in your life—whether it's in your career, relationships, or finances—God can breathe new life into it with His miracle-working power. By activating your faith and speaking positive confessions, you pave the way for miracles to manifest, just as Ezekiel spoke and saw the dry bones come to life. Trust in God's ability to bring forth resurrection and restoration in every aspect of your life.
5. Bishop Dr Mike Okonkwo, Wisdom For The Day, TREM
Topic: Focus On What God Has Perfected
Text : Jeremiah 1:4-5, Jeremiah 1:1-19
Food for thought: God's Word can never fail.
Lesson: Stop worrying about how that miracle will happen. Your part is to believe and receive it. "Heaven and earth will pass away but God’s words will by no means pass away. When you understand what had been done on your behalf, there is no way you are going to end a failure.
6. Dr Pastor Paul Enenche, Seeds Of Destiny DIGC
Topic: ILL Treatment-A Proof of Lovelessness
Text: Romans 13:10
Food for thought: Any form of ill-treatment a person metes out to his neighbour is proof of bankruptcy of love.
Lesson: Love worketh no ill to his neighbour. Crookedness or wickedness only displays the lovelessness rooted in the heart. if the matter of love can be addressed and people start loving one another, we will have a better world. Make up your mind never to be cruel, ruthless, or wicked to
your neighbours. Don't do to anyone what you don't want them to do to you.
7. Bishop Dr. Chris Kwakpovwe, Our Daily Manna, MPM
Topic: Lack-Free Life: The Shalom Experience!
Text: Jeremiah 29:8-14
Food for thought: Do you know that it is possible for you to serve God faithfully and live from day to day in abundant provision of every good thing of life, money, things money can buy, as well as things money cannot buy?
Lesson: Poverty is not the perfect will of God! Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. This means that you have been redeemed from poverty. This year, God is giving you an EXPECTED END of PROVISION and PEACE (shalom)!

8. C.A.C: The Living Water
Topic: Keys To Answered Prayer (II)
Text: Philippians 2:14, Philip. 2:12-18
Food for thought: The Holy Spirit is warning believers to jettison quarrels, or any form of dispute.
Lesson: Answers to so many beautifully prepared prayers have been hindered because of bitterness and strife. Added to this is the fact that any unholy activity before and after prayer, is a bad odour to God, and it prevents answers to prayers. So, be wary of dispute, anger, bitterness, and so on, for an answered prayer. Prayer and sin don't go together.
9. The Daily Fountain. Anglican Communion
Topic: Fellowship In Christ
Text: Philippians 1: 1-11,
Food for thought: The intimate fellowship that exists between Jesus and His disciples should be a model for the Church.
Lesson: Church leaders at all levels are expected to live and encourage unity among members of the body, and the people themselves must reciprocate their leaders' actions. Intimate fellowship is one of the messages we deduce at the institution of the Holy Eucharist and living in intimate fellowship helps us share in one another's successes and challenges.
10 Daily Guide, Scripture Union
Topic: Replacing Judas Iscariot
Text: Acts 1:12-26
Food for thought: When conducting an election in your group or Church, do you pray for God's guidance/ And do you pray for them after their election?
Lesson: The tragedy of Judas was not his betrayal of Jesus. Peter denied Him. It was not because
he had a reputation for stealing. It was that he could not find his way back to God through repentance as Peter did. Are you struggling with guilt and fear? Then turn to God in true repentance. You shall not be replaced in Jesus' name.
