Text : Exodus 17:12, Exodus 17:8-13

Food for thought : It is a terrible thing when followers take advantage of their leader’s weaknesses.

Lesson: Leaders are not omnipotent; they need help sometimes. Good followers recognize that their leader needs help and seek to provide it before the leader asks for it. They watch to see which areas they can support the leader in and provide the support as needed to surmount any mountain that stands in his or her way. Good followers also do not take advantage of their leaders’ weaknesses. They help them instead.

Food for thought : Only the foolish will think He can fool God!

Lesson: It is outright fatal foolishness to engage in any tricks with God and His messengers and expect a happy end to the story. It is folly to attempt to take advantage of the perceived weakness in a man of God to deceive or exploit him. God’s servants and ministers must be held in high esteem and honoured. We must never try to fool them so we can enjoy the full benefits of the power of God upon them.

Food for thought : The transition from darkness to light in Christ signifies the end of all bondage and evil.

Lesson: We have already been delivered from the domain of darkness and are now in the Kingdom of God's Son. Living in His light means we are no longer subject to the evil and bondage that darkness represents. No matter the challenges we face, we can act in faith, knowing that Jesus has already taken away our pain and remedied every situation.

Food for thought : With the love of God in the family, no foe can defeat it.

Lesson: The Word of God provides the ultimate solution to resolving family troubles and achieving harmony. We must seek God and build a strong relationship with Him to withstand and overcome family troubles. Surrendering to the lordship of Jesus Christ is essential for any family to fulfill God's purpose. Unity and love within the family are crucial for effectively fighting against any adversities.

Lesson: We must seek God's wisdom daily, as it is crucial for making decisions and handling life's challenges. God's wisdom elevates us, opening doors and making us sought after by those in authority. By spending time in God's presence and asking for His wisdom, we align ourselves with His guidance and protection.

Food for thought : If God can set aside His own law because of a fighter, there is no witch, devil or principality that can stop you from becoming what God wants you to be if you deploy the fighting spirit.

Lesson: It takes a fighting spirit to access your inheritance in God. Make up your mind not to give up in life. Persist with God until you prevail.

Lesson: We pass through every wicked plan because God's protection is upon us. Just as Jesus escaped harm, we too will escape premature death and any plots against us. A million demons cannot kill you before your time.

Food for thought : Focusing on Jesus and biblical heroes of faith from the past strengthens and guides us through difficult times.

Lesson: We draw strength and encouragement by remembering the faith and perseverance of biblical heroes. We stay strong in our faith journey by letting go of distractions and focusing on Jesus, who endured the greatest trials. By keeping our eyes on Jesus, we gain determination and strength to overcome challenges and finish our faith journey well.

Food for thought : Relying on God to find a spouse ensures a blessed and harmonious union.

Lesson: A young man who desires to marry should seek for a wife who has the same spiritual background. It is very important to pray for God to reveal and lead you to your future life partner; a Christian youth of marriageable age should depend on God to find his or her spouse. When God brings us together, we should always express our gratitude for His provision.

Text : Leviticus 25:1-22

Food for thought : God remains the Jehovah Jireh, our provider. Will you obey Him and entrust your life wholly into His hands?

Lesson: We trust in God's ability to provide, especially during times set aside for rest and renewal. Our liberation and blessings should prompt us to help others, particularly the poor and those in need of a fresh start. We live as caretakers of God's creation, not as owners, which calls us to be mindful of how we treat the environment.
