Dai vs Goliath (Not a Netflix Original.. yet)

Dai vs Goliath (Not a Netflix Original.. yet)

During most of the 15 years since we started Object Matrix we have been nominated, or shortlisted, for almost no awards (start the orchestra of tiny violins!) ,

Being pioneers (for pioneers read stupidly early to market) of a technology (object storage, Digital content governance, media focused hybrid clouds etc etc etc) is super but most awards or recognition are posthumous!

Luckily we are alive and kicking (not sure u can call it luck after 15 years hard labour!) which is great as last week 40 odd industry professionals decided it was our time in the sun when we scooped the IABM award. Thanks a million!

Today we have been informed we have been nominated and shortlisted for two awards from Storage Magazine. #YAY!

As you will see from the nominees we are in a bit of a David and Goliath scenario so we need the help of our wonderful network to vote for us (should you think we are worthy).

https://www.storage-awards.com

The two categories are:

  • One to Watch
  • Object Storage Vendor of the year

Now I wish the other nominees all the best of luck of course but to let us put things into perspective.

  • Two of those vendors in the object storage category have collectively taken over $250m to get over 200 customers (each) across multiple verticals.
  • Object Matrix is profitable, growing, has taken 100 times less VC $$ and has gained the trust of over 100 customers in one flipping amazing industry vertical! (Take a bow the media industry)

So if you would like to see media focused Dai (Welsh for David) beat the generalist object storage vendors with Goliath like VC funding then get your voting fingers on and choose Object Matrix!

Vote like you have never voted before and together we will make 2018, our 15th year, super special and we will love you forever of course.

Thanks for reading and please share!
