Daffodil Moments

"For oft when on my couch I lie

In vacant or in pensive mood

They flash upon that inward eye

which is the bliss of solitude

And then my heart with pleasure fills

And dances with the daffodils".

An excerpt from the famous poem "Daffodils" written by William Wordsworth. You may wonder why am I quoting this verse here.

Tranquil and satisfying moments are often when you do something you truly love. Those are the "daffodil moments" in our lives.

A story which features Nikita Kelkar my daughter who is masters in Design strategy and innovation from Brunel university, London. When she actually completed this course, innovation and strategy were not as commonly used as today. Besides the point but after being a professional with a masters degree life puts you in a test of tackling uncontrollable factors.

What I want to say here is in the US of A she could not work due to the type of visa. I am still learning the definitions of the H1B's and 'C's. Coming back, figuring out what to do to keep yourself motivated and remain socially and emotionally connected Nikita had honed her skills in kathak, a classical dance form for over 10 years and she started her own kathak class. she began with 1 enrolment and there is no looking back.

Baking is another skill which she has honed over time. I did not know she would be so so good at it. Signature flavours to super finished products @getdoozy has taken the Dallas landscape by storm. If you are in Dallas it is worth a try :).

Painting is another skill which she had taken up as a subject during her 11th and 12th grades. Nikita also does beautiful paintings, a recent completed Madhubani painting commissioned for a dental clinic is here for you all to see.

Keeping to what you can do otherwise of your masters and bachelors comes to your rescue when you are in conditions which are uncontrollable by you.

Find your own Daffodil moments is a message I would like to convey to all.
