Dancing flowers beneath the trees
Swaying gently in the breeze
Beautiful trumpets of vibrant colour
Mesmerising to see
The Daffodil is bright and true
A flowing field of glowing dreams
So lovely to view
The National flower of Wales
And part of St David's Day
Decorations all around
Of this wonderful flower
Known in stories from ancient times
Lies Hades - sacred prize
Complimenting the banks of the underworld
Lovely flowers all unfurled
Growing high upon the hills
Sun light breaking through
An artist's dream captured-his wishes come true
Symbols of good luck and fortune
Moving wild and free
Often desired & cultivated
By the wealthy
For many In the East
A magical flower in bloom
With beautiful eyes
A vision highly prized
Decorating meadows and woods
A sea of yellow, orange and white
A truly mystical sight
A sign of Spring- In art and literature too
Depicting death and resurrection
A time for renewal
Springs yellow jewell
Known as the Easter bell & Lenten Lily - communal and free
A treasured gift - for those that meet
A Joy to the senses - with fragrances so sweet
This gentle flower can make your heart flutter
It remains vibrant - within a haze
How fortunate we are to have and see
