Daddy Once Again !!

It was the beginning of the 9th month for my better half, she was still working, I recall when I became Father in 2016, and she had worked till the last day of her delivery. Hats off to the motherly spirit, it makes every women much more strong. None of us gets the opportunity to see our mothers with this spirit when we are born, but many families do go through this happiness sometime or the other.

We Indians are very sensitive at the birth of a child in family, we celebrate the joy with our loved ones and the next complete year festivals are termed on the first event for the child, first Diwali for the new-born, first Holi of the new-born, and so on… I am sure you must be getting where I am coming from... the overheads are rising high to higher to highest levels. It’s just the beginning. When we became parents for the first time family did say “be ready for the raise in expenses now” … by the time we are trying to become stable we are ready for the next one to arrive.

Sleepless nights, turns n twists, top-up milk preparation, diaper changes, puking, reflux, burps and much much more to take care off. I am already a dad of a 6 year old, have hands on experience for all this but why was I having butterflies once again? It's not easy to hold a new-born in your arms and yeah when it's a little angel, yes she is ...my little princess.

Dad's little girl. It's a proud moment when we get this tittle “Daddy”. We all crave to be father's in our lives… Marriage is not the eventual level to reach in a relation, it's just the beginning of relationships & responsibilities. Once we get one accountability the other is in the pipeline.

You have been a parent, you have brought this child in life, you must have noticed when we raise a child in our arms the child is totally dependent on us. For each and everything. Yes and it's a blind trust... they can't express, they can’t say, they can't tell you , either they can cry, sleep, be hungry , empty their bowl and repeat the same all over once again . This is the life cycle of a new born. Willingly or unwillingly every father has to accept it ... Mothers are born with an strong acceptance for all the struggle with a unique sixth sense about their child. Isn't it? The child is hungry, she is aware of this... the child needs to sleep , she is aware of it , the diaper needs to be changed...she is well aware, the child's burps are stuck,, God knows how does the mother know all this .. It’s magicians mummies...

I have learnt a lot from my mother and I look up to her . Similarly, I have learnt a lot from my wife , I look up to her too... Why not? She is exceptionally great mom , learning with things and days. YES... Parenting is a never ending process and we learn with each and every tasks. We might fail number of times but the spirit to do things for our children makes us stand on our feet every then and now . Their smile gives us the power we have been missing…

I smile when I am back home, seeing my child ...

I smile when I wake up, seeing my kids face first thing in the morning…

I smile when my child yawns... I smile when my child farts... We smile together when we make funny sounds.

Being a parent is a learning experience. We learn to chase the dream we haven't fulfilled for us, we dare to dream again the same for our kids, and this time we shall achieve the dream.?
