New Tool Maps Cellular Coverage for Tactical UAV Operations

Elsight - UAV & UGV Connection Confidence is launching HeatSight, an advanced signal strength mapping tool which provides reliable data on cellular coverage for mission-critical UAV flight planning.

Available to Elsight’s AllSight management platform users, HeatSight enables cellular coverage mapping of drone-flying altitudes by providing time-aggregated and altitude-based heatmaps. These heatmaps reveal where and when coverage thrives and where it falters across four dimensions (longitude, latitude, altitude, and time).

Yoav Amitai , CEO of Elsight, commented, “Think about using Waze to determine your best routes, HeatSight gives your UAV operators the data on the paths of strongest cellular coverage for your BVLOS missions. It’s not only about static information, but operators may discover that certain areas are experiencing signal congestion during specific periods or weather conditions which would enable them to adjust mission flight paths or times for uninterrupted connectivity.

Crystal Group Unveiling New Rugged Embedded Computers at AFCEA WEST

Crystal Group is presenting two new rugged computing systems at AFCEA WEST – the RE1600M, a small form factor embedded computer, and the RE4000, a hyper-converged data storage solution.?

Built for amphibious operations, the RE600M is IP68 rated, allowing for AI inferencing for applications such as unmanned surface vessels (USVs) and vehicles. Crystal Group's RE4000, an Air Transport Association carry-on compliant, overhead bin packable system designed to meet any cybersecurity need for enabling data acquisition and storage in severe environments.

Vizgard Wins ￡1.5 Million to Enhance AI Solutions for Defense & Security

Vizgard has secured ￡1.5 million in funding to accelerate the growth of its AI-driven solutions for the defense and public safety sectors.?

The investment, led by Sure Valley Ventures (SVV) with support from Midwich Ignite and Focal, will be used to expand Vizgard’s engineering and business development teams, strengthen international distribution efforts, and further develop its FortifAI platform.
