South Korean visitors accounted for over 42 percent of total inbound tourists to Da Nang, followed by travelers from China, Thailand, the U.S., and India, Vu added.

The Da Nang Department of Tourism elaborated that the coastal city has actively promoted local tourism through various events, such as receiving fam-trip delegations and joining travel fairs.

The city’s tourism authority also facilitated the launch of new direct air services linking Da Nang with destinations in China, Indonesia, India, Japan, and Australia.

Mai Thi Thanh Hai, deputy director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that aside from hosting a wide range of tourism events and festivals, the city has sought to diversify its tourism products and markets from such countries as India, Indonesia, and those in the Middle East.
