The latest and the most efficient technology on the market was desired for this project so the hotel opted for the Q-ton solution from MHI to produce the domestic hot water (DHW). Two Q-tons unit was installed along with two hot water storage vessels of 4,000 litres each to cope with the demand of 22000 litres per day from the hotel.
The storage water temperature is 70°C and the water is supplied at 55 °C around the hotel.
The average COP of this installation is 4.13 generating an estimated 53% running cost savings compared to an oil boiler.
The payback period is expected to be 3.0 years (compared to an oil boiler), the date when the customer will start to benefit from the savings.
