CHERI is a vendor-agnostic memory-safe architecture that seeks to address 90% of software vulnerabilities by addressing memory safety at the hardware level. Join us to learn more about this revolutionary approach to cybersecurity.

?? Date: November 12th

?? Location: Hub8 MX, Cheltenham

Driving Innovation & Growth: Angel Investing in Cyber and Emerging Tech

In this new engagement programme, we have teamed up with HCR Law , Richard Yorke (Founder, Angel Investor and ex-MD of CyNam) and Melania Edwards (Investment Consultant) to explore aspects of early-stage investing in cyber and emerging technologies, with the aim of establishing an active angel investor network here in Gloucestershire.

It’ll come as no surprise to hear that we strongly believe our ecosystem, with its long heritage in cybersecurity and technology innovation, has an important role to play in the secure development and adoption of Emerging Tech. And with this will come opportunities for investment and growth.

However, despite Gloucestershire being home to the largest concentration of cyber and technology businesses outside of London, alongside a high number of ‘exited’ founders from the sector, early-stage funding in Cyber and Emerging Tech isn’t working as well as it could.

DSIT’s latest Cyber Security Sectoral Analysis (2024) highlighted a worrying drop off in investment into South West-based cybersecurity start-ups. Join us to learn about angel investing and exciting opportunities in the high-growth cyber and emerging tech sectors.

?? New Date: Tuesday, 26th November

?? Location: FuturePark, Park Campus, Cheltenham, GL50 2RH

?? Time: 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM GMT
