CyNam welcomes Lancashire delegates to Cheltenham for 2-day visit

CyNam was delighted to welcome a delegation of cyber professionals from Lancashire at the beginning of December for a 2-day visit where we had the opportunity to showcase and explore the collaborative working spaces that define Cheltenham's cyber ecosystem.

The visitors represented local authority, private sector, and academia, all with a vested interest in learning more about our co-working facilities, innovation hubs, and tech incubators and how they are providing a conducive environment for startups, SMEs and industry experts to converge, exchange ideas, and foster innovation.? In addition to introductions from CyNam and Hub8 , we were pleased to also introduce the visitors to speakers from the #CyberFirst programme, HBD Golden Valley , Plexal , and the @Western Gateway partnership, who all provided informative workshops on their current developments.

The convergence of government, industry, and academia in Cheltenham, has created a powerful ecosystem that propels the cybersecurity field forward, making it a must-visit destination for any professional looking to transfer knowledge and experience to their own workplaces.? The agenda was curated to provide an informative, inspiring and insightful series of visits to various locations across town, providing opportunity to learn from what we have already endeavoured and speak directly to those involved throughout the processes. ?

It was a pleasure to host our guests for this visit; collaboratively, we identified several parallels between our two geographical areas and see that there are lots of opportunities for partnership between the two ecosystems – and that is very exciting. This visit was the start of a conversation and hopefully a long relationship.?
