CyNam Headline Event 24.2: A Recap

Last week, we hosted CyNam's headline event 24.2, powered by Barclays Eagle Labs, Space West, and Crowe UK. This event was a deep dive into the critical intersection of space and cyber security, focusing on the UK's role in protecting its space infrastructure. Designed for professionals and enthusiasts in cyber security, space technology, and related fields, the event offered a comprehensive programme.

The day concluded with a panel discussion and VIP networking event at the Cheltenham Science Festival. Renowned Astronaut Tim Peake, Space Ecosystems Manager Anuradha Damale-Day, and anthropologist Professor Kate Robson Brown shared their insights on the future of space. The discussion, led by Dallas Campbell, covered space security, travel, international relations, and technological advancements shaping the relationship between Earth and space.

Our event last week was just the starting point of a discussion on the intersection of space and cyber security. We will be forming a working group to further explore and develop the programmes and activities required to leverage the cyber security capabilities in the South West region to enable the priority capability areas outlined in the UK Space Industrial Plan.
