Cycling Through the Ups & Downs of Life
Life can be defined as "the period during which a person is alive or exists". During it, several things may happen, either good or bad. Within the unexpected, we do not have any choice except to try, try, and try as long as we breathe. While trying, we will get tired, disappointed, sad, shocked, etc. Still, these feelings should not stop us from living to the last breath.
"If life were predictable it would cease to be life, and be without flavor" -- Eleanor Roosevelt
This article is dedicated to all the great youths out there with a lot of energy, potential, and determination that may go through harsh moments in their respective adventures. The main objective is highlighting that life tastes good with both success and failure and that any "successful" person has definitely been through a lot of pain, difficulty, and challenges.
Life Cycle
From birth to death, each one of us undergoes several experiences with different timelines. If we are conscious that we will all leave one day, then seeking to honor our presence in life might be the key to living it to the fullest. Each experience brings many lessons. Each success ignites more efforts. Each failure pushes for improvement. Furthermore, from one year to another, we grow up with more knowledge, more awareness, and more consciousness about life being formed of ups and downs. The former without the latter is meaningless. It is a cycle through which we should keep cycling with positivity and enthusiasm.
Managing Downs
It is normal to go through harsh moments and periods. Even the most "successful" people over history undergo situations where the mood is extremely low. While being down, one should try to recognize it, accept it, take enough time, rest, cry if needed, and most importantly breathe. One should also be conscious that it won't last forever. If life does not smile today, it will do tomorrow.
"It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light" --?Aristotle
Managing Ups
Similar to Downs, it is also totally normal to go through Ups where we feel satisfied, fulfilled, and happy. Still, when the mood is high, one should leverage the feelings to improve further and most importantly remain humble. Life does not stop at the first Up. It is a cycle that requires consistency and continuity. Whatever the succession of Ups, there must be Downs. Thus, we should remain conscious of the importance of humbly cycling.
"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall"?-- Nelson Mandela
Winning Mindset
One of the most important traits of people that impress us when looking at their achievements is the Winning Mindset. Indeed, the mindset plays a huge role in how we perceive life and whether we are willing to keep trying or not. A winning mindset won't give up even if things seem impossible and many examples are highlighted in history. Nurturing the mindset with positivity, willingness, hope, motivation leverages it to become a winning mindset. Also, when cycling through ups and downs, we become wise, mature, and aware. With more wisdom, maturity, and awareness, we deal more effectively with the different situations, challenges, and obstacles faced in this adventure.
"Every champion was once a contender that refused to give up" -- Rocky Balboa
Never stop no matter what. Never keep trying no matter what. Never doubt your potential no matter what. Life deserves a huge try with all the passion, hope, motivation, and energy we have. After our last breath, we can relax happily and rest in peace after having tried our best and lived every moment to the fullest.
I deeply believe that we should all keep trying. Right? Please feel free to share your thoughts on the insights presented. I look forward to your comments in the section below.
