Every ending is also a guaranteed rebirth. Every ending is necessary, and geared towards our highest learning. The more we hurt, the more capable we become of depth and compassion. The darkest nights we pass through all come to an end. When in the middle of the darkness it never seems as if the end is in sight but there is an end. It will pass. We may not ever "get over" the things which hurt us, but we will "get through" all of it. We must practice the mindset that things end because they are supposed to. We will not always understand the reasons why, and for that reason it is better not to search for closure there. It's better to focus on accepting what is. No amount of struggling against what has ended will bring it back to life. We must learn to let go. Life, by its very nature, will always bring the light back in to diminish the darkness. Through each dark passage, we become wiser and more empathic. We develop the wisdom necessary to live better lives. When the light returns, it will feel brighter than ever before because the darkness cleared away the negative which was blocking our light. Trust the laws of nature and the cycles of life. The light is always followed by the dark, which is followed, once again, by the light. The more we heal, the wiser we become, and the less the darkness will visit.
