Google Wallet has launched a feature for digitizing U.S. biometric passports, enabling domestic travel through TSA checkpoints at select locations. Users can enroll their passports using NFC and biometric verification, presenting them via QR code or NFC. While this feature excludes international travel, Google Wallet also supports mobile driver’s licenses (mDLs) in several states, positioning itself as a key player in U.S. digital ID adoption:
