?? Cybersecurity Doesn't Have a Skills Shortage; It's a Hiring Gap. ??

It's been over 9 months in my job search journey, and I'm still determined as ever.


Why is it so challenging to find genuinely talented individuals who can elevate a company to the next level?


There's no shortage of capability, yet opportunities seem scarce. It's disheartening to see opportunities being missed due to a fixed mindset, focusing on irrelevant details, and the global recession driving up living costs.


The struggle is real. It's hard to find a job that values your skills appropriately. Even offering a modest $25 per hour seems like a challenge nowadays. And don't get me started on the reluctance to offer a mere 2-week trial period!


I recently came across a job posting for an Architect position with a Government Ministry, offering just $20 an hour. It begs the question: why pursue a career in architecture consulting when gig economy jobs like food delivery or driving for Uber seem more lucrative?


Contract positions aren't any better, with seemingly no projects in sight.


Productivity has taken a hit, with output dropping from 100% to a mere 60%, leading to drastic cost-cutting measures.


As living expenses skyrocket, job opportunities seem to dwindle. Is there any balance to be found in this chaotic job market?


Many attribute the struggle to profile or resume issues, but with over 5000 successful jobs behind me, it's hard to accept that explanation.


I'm contemplating leaving the IT cybersecurity and cloud sector to start a non-IT business. That's how serious the situation has become.


Why are jobs still open if there's supposedly a shortage of skilled candidates? Why do hiring processes seem flawed, with hundreds of resumes flooding in within hours?

So, is the problem with the candidates, the hiring process, or the hiring personnel themselves? It feels like there's more firing than hiring going on these days.
