Cybersecurity Debt is exploding! Move over technical debt.

In the lingo of software development, there is a concept of 'Technical Debt'. It is 'debt' that accrues when software is built the easy way at the cost of quality, or the fast way because there is a rush to launch and corners are cut. As this debt piles up, the architecture and code start to resemble as if it is held together with 'spit and scotch tape'!

The same way "Cybersecurity Debt" is piling up across the board. With technical debt the cost of this debt is usability, scalability, etc BUT the cost of cybersecurity debt can be lethal. Baking security right into the dough is critical, because the spit-and-scotchtape approach to cyber security can blow a death knell to the entire enterprise, not just the project or piece of code.

I intend to put together a body of work around 'CyberSecurity Debt' to better understand the wrath of it. Any help in what aspects I should cover will be greatly appreciated, as I go deeper into this topic.
