In Cyberspace threats keeps changing face everyday. Skill gaps keep on widening if professionals don't bridge them on time.
To help remedy this situation, organizations are pursuing many different creative ways to address the gap in both the short and long term – including new university programs, technical and vocational programs, apprenticeships, certifications, and government programs. IBM believes that many cyber-security jobs can be filled by "new collar" workers, those that may not have a traditional college or university degree, but they have the necessary technical skills and aptitudes. A new collar approach is an important new piece of a broader strategy that IBM and the greater cyber-security community should take to address the formidable skills gap.
