Denso's German Network Hit by Cyberattack
The cyberattacks on Toyota seem to be far from over. Denso, a top Toyota supplies, was hit with a ransomware attack that resulted in unauthorized access of information related to sales and engineering. While the company’s operations have not been impacted, it is still investigating the attack to determine damages.

Stats Widget Hacked in Attempt to Breach Russian Government Agency Websites
Foiled again. A hack against the Russian Ministry of Economic Development was thwarted after attackers attempted to use a hacked statistics widget to publish misinformation on government websites. While the disruption was resolved quickly, there was enough time to cause some chaos for the Russian government.

Wightlink Customers' Details Stolen in Cyber Attack
A ferry company might be in deep water after having its systems hacked. Customers' personal information might have been stolen in a recent cyber attack against Wightlink. The actual ferry services were not affected, nor were its booking system or website. The attack was reported to have been “highly sophisticated.”

The latest bill on President Biden’s desk is one mandating that companies report cyberattacks to CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) within 72 hours of the attack. This bill was drafted after many cyberattacks over the past year have created a sense of urgency for policy changes to occur.

China State-Backed Hackers Compromised Networks of At Least 6 U.S. State Governments
APT41 might look like part of someone’s address at first glance, but cybersecurity company Mandiant discovered it to be much worse. At least six U.S. state government networks were compromised by this state-sponsored Chinese hacking group over the past year. The group claims to have carried out the espionage on behalf of Beijing.
