Microsoft: Russian Cyber Attacks Target 42 Ukraine Allies
“Microsoft said on Wednesday that Russian hackers started to target wide cyber attacks against Ukraine’s allies. The technology company warned of hackers targeting government computers in NATO member states in particular. Microsoft added that although their main target is the United States, the company’s experts have discovered cyber attacks on about 128 organizations in 42 countries outside Ukraine.”

Police: Xi’an University Suffers Cyber Attacks from Overseas
“Northwestern Polytechnical University has suffered a series of cyber attacks launched from overseas, police in Xi'an City, capital of north China's Shaanxi Province where the university is located, said on Thursday. A local police station received a report from the university on April 12 about the attacks.”

FBI Chicago Warns of Increasing Cyber Attacks in Illinois
“Illinois continues to be one of the hardest hit states for malicious cyber activity, ranking seventh last year for most victim losses at $184.9 million. According to the FBI, malicious cyber activity across the U.S. in 2021 totaled to $7 billion in reported losses to cybercriminals.”

“Lithuania is facing an increased number of distributed denial-of-service attacks this week that target state institutions, as well as the communications and finance sectors, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.”

Delivery Firm Yodel Disrupted by Cyber Attack
“UK delivery and logistics company Yodel has confirmed that it has been the victim of a cyber attack which has impacted its services. Online delivery tracking is currently down and the company’s customer service helpline also appears to be down for “maintenance”. Yodel’s website remains online at the time of writing.”
