Cyber Security Global Alliance Welcomes Shirreef Loza, U.S. Department of Commerce to the CSGA Senior Advisory Leadership Team, Brings Endorsement!

On behalf of the Terranova Defense Group of Companies and Terranova Defense NFP operating as: Cyber Security Global Alliance , CSGA Cyber Accelerator , CSGA Cyber Defense College, and CSR5 Global Incorporated , I, James Castle , Executive Director and Founder, Cyber Security Global Alliance would like to welcome Mr. Shirreef Loza to to our Senior Advisory Leadership Team and we all look forward to working with each of you and having you as a part of the Cyber Security Global Alliance Global family.

Shirreef Loza is an International Trade Specialist with the United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA), U.S. Foreign and Commercial Service office in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, he actively works with foreign service officers in U.S. Embassies and Consulates to promote U.S. businesses, schools and organizations in international markets. Since 2003, Mr. Loza has held a variety of leadership roles on the Healthcare, Education, and Information Communication Technology teams, and served as Deputy Leader for the Africa/Near East/South Asia regional team. Mr. Loza is co-founder and President of Blacks Building Opportunities to Leverage Diversity (BBOLD), an ITA employee resource group (ERG). ?

In 2016, Mr. Loza received the U.S. Commerce Silver Medal Award for his work on Trade Winds, the largest ever U.S. government led trade mission to Africa. In 2012, he served as Senior Commercial Officer in Kuwait, and in 2011 acted as the local liaison for North Carolina Governor Perdue’s trade mission to China coordinating North Carolina businesses with the U.S. Embassy and Consulate network in Beijing and Shanghai.

In 2021, Mr. Loza was honored with two Director General Awards, most notably the Peer Leadership Award, for his work to advance programs to support African American employees in U.S. Commerce. ?

In 2022, Mr. Loza was appointed to the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity through Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and represented the International Trade Administration at National HBCU Week in Washington, D.C. In 2022, Mr. Loza was appointed to the President’s Advisory Committee at St. Augustine’s University. In 2019, Mr. Loza was appointed to the Advisory Committee at the School of Public and International Affairs at North Carolina State University. In 2024, Mr. Loza was appointed to the Borough of Manhattan Community College Office of Diplomatic Engagement and Training Advisory Board, and to the Cyber Security Global Alliance, Senior Advisory Leadership Team. ???

Aside from his daily role in the Raleigh office, Mr. Loza is an active member of the Wake County Foreign Direct Investment Committee and serves as a board member of the World Trade Association in the Research Triangle Park. In 2023, Mr. Loza served on detail as North Africa regional manager at the Advocacy Center in Washington, D.C. In 2024, Mr. Loza joined the Global Trade Promotion team in HQ coordinating the International Trade Administration's trade shows, events and missions. ???

Mr. Loza speaks French and Arabic and has earned his B.A. in Philosophy and Master of International Studies with a concentration on Middle East – U.S. Policy Formation from North Carolina State University.
