Air Europa , Spain's third-largest airline, has warned customers that attackers were able to gain access to their credit card information after a #DataBreach. The exposed data includes card numbers, expiration dates, and CVV codes. Air Europa hasn’t yet disclosed the number of affected customers or the breach's timing. Back in 2021, the company faced a similar breach, and was fined for #GDPR violations.

As the Israel-Palestine conflict has intensified, so has #CyberWarfare in the region, and #Hacktivist attacks have surged. There are around 35 pro-Palestine hacking groups, and four are pro-Israel groups, as well as the Russian-based #Killnet. Israeli institutions have been attacked, and #AnonymousSudan targeted an Israeli newspaper. The Indian group #IndianCyberForce, meanwhile, claimed responsibility for an attack on Palestine's web services.

A survey of 205 cyber security professionals by Integrity360 has revealed a growing concern about #CyberCriminals using #AI, particularly in the context of #DeepFakes. Approximately 68% of respondents are worried about deepfake-based attacks on their organisations, and 58% believe AI is increasing the number of #CyberAttacks.?

Microsoft 365 administrators are being urged to adhere to Google's new anti-spam Gmail policies. Effective from February 2024, the new rules require organisations sending over 5,000 daily emails to implement email authentication for their domains and offer an easy ‘one-click’ unsubscribe option for all recipients. Failure to comply may lead to their communications being marked as spam.?

The report recommends private and public sector organisations assess the security of their ICSs and take measures to protect against unauthorised access and #CyberThreats.

In 2023, the education sector has been a prime target for #CyberAttacks, with 29% coming from vulnerability exploitation and 30% from #Phishing campaigns, according to a report by cyber security provider Critical Start . The report also highlighted the increased use of #QRCodes in phishing attacks, ransomware groups' collaboration, and security concerns related to Microsoft Teams allowing harmful files to be sent to staff.

#CloudComputing companies 谷歌 , Amazon Web Services (AWS) , and Cloudflare have reported an unprecedented increase in #DDoSAttacks exploiting a #ZeroDayVulnerability known as HTTP/2 Rapid Reset.? The #Vulnerability enables attackers to overwhelm websites by initiating and cancelling numerous requests. Google noted a peak of 398 million requests per second, far surpassing the 2022 record of 46 million requests per second.
