1. US intelligence services revealed that confidential NATO documents have been offered for sale on the Dark web. Reports about the attack to access these documents show that bots, programmed to identify confidential files, were used in the breach. Hackers released samples of the stolen documents as evidence.


2. Buenos Aires City Counsel suffered from a ransomware attack, causing their website to remain, as of current, still offline.


3. Fishpig, an e-commerce software company that provides Magneto-WordPress integrations, has been hacked. The company revealed that the attackers had exploited a security flaw in its distribution server to deploy the “Rekoobe” backdoor, thus allowing threat actors unlimited access. The company called on all of its customers to reinstall the updated software.


4. The UK PVC manufacturer, Eurocell, experienced a cyberattack. Attackers gained access to systems and stole employee data, including dates of birth, bank account details, ID numbers, health and welfare documents, birth certificates, and more.


5. The Pro-Palestinian attack group GhostSec claimed to have compromised Berghof PLC’s used in Israel. Experts believe the attackers access the management panels of the PLC’s by guessing common and default credentials. The result was that the hackers were able to directly control industrial processes, such as changing the pH and chlorine levels of water.?

Is CISCO suffering from a data breach?

Cisco has confirmed that the data breach claimed by the Yanluowang ransomware group was actually stolen from its business network during an attack in May.

The company insisted that the leak had no impact on its customers, products, services or any other sensitive information.


The threat actor, however, claimed otherwise, insisting that they stole thousands of files amounting to 55GB and that the data included classified documents, technical schematics and source code.

Microsoft releases security updates for September 2022

Microsoft has released updates to address several vulnerabilities in Microsoft software. An attacker can exploit some of these weaknesses to gain control of an affected system.

In total, Microsoft addressed 64 new security flaws in its products, five of which were classified as critical, 57 as important, one as moderate and one as low in severity.

How to update Google Chrome manually?

1. Click the three dots in the upper right corner of Chrome

2. Click Settings > Help > About Google Chrome.

3. Close and restart the browser - this action is always required after each update.
