1. The hacker group Killnet attacked the US Congress website in a DDoS attack which led the website to be shut down for 45 minutes.

2. Neta, a building company in Tel Aviv, announces that it had been hit by a DDoS attack which was perpetrated by an Iranian hacking group.

3. The Marriott chain of hotels was attacked for a third time since 2018. This time they reported that hackers had managed to steal about 20GB worth of data.

4. A spokesperson for the British military stated that the army’s YouTube and Twitter accounts had been compromised and that the incident was still under investigation.

5. A hacker managed to break into the computer network of the Shaghai police. The database stole contain information relating to about a billion Chinese residents, and was offered for sale for 10 BitCoin.?

Setting a Precedent: The Privacy Protection Authority Boycotts Servers

Gol Tours was hacked on June 12 by the SharpBoys hacker group. After Gol Tours did not cooperate with the Privacy Protection Authority and showed no signs of improving the security situation, the Authority took an unusual step and confiscated the company's servers for an in-depth investigation.

Google Chrome Browser Emergency Update

Google is releasing an update to the Chrome browser, an important fix for a Zero Day vulnerability which had been found is included in the update.

The vulnerability is listed as CVE-2022-2294
