Security flaws in browsers, Websites and mobile devices are on the increase. A new Zero-day had more than doubled from 2014 to 2015 by 125%; we can only imagine what the new stats will show.
A disturbing trend is the cloud-based attacks, cloud-based attacks are invisible to antivirus for they do not contain heuristics or signatures that can be detected. Say one of your kids used your phone to download a Fake Pokemon Guide or an app of Google play that is fake. That is just one way your passwords, identity and banking information will be stolen, access to your business, customers or even ransomed.
Unfortunately, most do not report such a breach for many reasons. Over half a billion personal records stolen in 2015, with only 429 million business who did report a violation and loss of information and an estimated 500 million unreported.
The symantec report 2016 has some startling statistics.
Please Take the time to investigate your security before an accident or cyber attack; both will either damage your reputation or close your business.
