CXR Community News - March 2022

I’ve had at least two conversations in the past few weeks with talent leaders that nearly ended in tears.?One individual started out venting that their people are making uncharacteristically dumb mistakes - or mistakes that would have been out of character maybe two years ago. Yet in the course of our conversation some self-reflection made them realize "maybe it’s me that’s exhausted."?

Leaders and managers of people are beyond tired, and that exhaustion is causing them to lose patience, not be as effective at coaching their teams, and unable to truly listen as they could in the past. It's a topic I recently discussed on our weekly podcast with Susana Rinderle -?worth a listen if you missed it .

I don't have a magic answer - I wish I did - but if you're feeling this way, I want you to know you're not alone. And if you ever want to talk about it, I'm here. This community of ours extends far beyond the world of recruiting tactics and sometimes it's good to remember that there are people out there, within our communities and myself included, who have your back.?

Take care of yourselves...
