The growing materialism has redefined all the aspects of our lives. Now everything has boiled down to physical wealth only- or to some target that is directly or indirectly related to what you will get as remuneration.

But the most melancholic scene is to see that people are totally ignoring their health.

And this scene is common with the senior executives, business owners, or the intellectual ones- who see only the targets & strategies, nothing else.

In the current fast-paced post-pandemic world, paying attention to your health holds pivotal importance. And this is because the positive impacts are not only physical & physiological but on the thought process & psychological as well.

Health is Wealth- an age-old trite remark that must have been checked by all at least once in their lifetime. This 3-word substantive statement has multiple allusions but we all misinterpreted it with the passage of time. We all started to think that it is a negativity emphasizing only on the health with no significance of wealth in comparison.

Let’s delve into this proverb first, then will proceed to the importance of health for the higher executives.

First of all if you in the pink of health then only you can enjoy the wealth that you have accrued! And health doesn’t merely mean the absence of disease; it’s a comprehensive term. Secondly when you focus on your health- means you are living a healthy lifestyle and are involved in some intense physical activity then it is not only the body that develops but also the brain gets relaxed! The peace of mind and a sense of satisfaction you get after burning the fat fight the negative thoughts and improves the intellect. All this has been scientifically proven.

Having a great thought process gets you a laser-sharp focus; all this in unison will work wonders for the business executives in enhancing their net-worth.

Hence it is empirically established that good health is directly related to the wealth, and is the real wealth in itself.

The Post-Pandemic World

The pandemic upended the way & place from where the employees work. Strict lockdown restrictions nudged to the digital transformation at a breakneck pace. The last two years witnessed the digital disruption which would have been possible in 50 years with the previous pace.??????

And all this has reassessed the responsibilities & priorities- calling the CEOs for an enhanced focus on their health & wellness.

From managing remote employees and freelancers to crafting the new strategies every day to the possibilities of meetings across different time zones one after the other- there is a pressing need to have a balanced mind and body.

If you repeatedly miss such things for the health issues then not only the executive’s reputation will face a dent but the brand as a whole will be harmed. The overall environment of the workplace will also be affected.

Executive’s Health and the Work Culture ?

The pandemic and our responses to it have laid the foundation for organizations to support everyone’s health in a more comprehensive way. The link between productivity and employee’s well-being has always been established but now it has been recognized that well-being extends much beyond physical health only!

A collaborative study by PwC & University of South California pointed that work environments must align with healthy behaviours to improve the overall wellbeing.???

The higher executives must master those values first then only they can instill those values within the culture, and can prioritize & ensure the employees’ wellbeing.

It’s important for CEOs to have a balanced approach to leadership challenges. While one focus should be on handling and overcoming today’s roadblocks, leaders should also continually work to predict and adapt to future barriers.

The uncertainty, put forth by the pandemic, has validated that even with the best in-class business plans & strategies there can be highly unpredictable situations that might be arduous to tackle.

Therefore, there is a strong need to be active all the time, and this can never happen in the absence of the pink of health.
