Microsoft appoints Mustafa Suleyman to lead Copilot.
To lead Microsoft AI, Microsoft is roping in Mustafa Suleyman as EVP and CEO and Karén Simonyan as the Chief Scientist. Founder of DeepMind and Inflection, Mustafa will oversee the development of consumer-facing AI products such as Copilot, Bing, and Edge. Mikhail Parakhin, Misha Bilenko, and the GenAI team will now report to Mustafa. Kevin Scott will continue to serve as the CTO and EVP of AI, responsible for AI strategy, including architecture decisions, partnerships, and cross-company orchestration.
Adrian Hallmark was named the new CEO at Aston Martin.
Effective Oct 2024, Adrian Hallmark will join Aston Martin as Executive Director and CEO. Currently serving as the Chairman and CEO at Bentley Motors, Hallmark brings over 25 years of automotive experience across the US, Europe, and Asia with Bentley, Porsche, and Volkswagen. To Aston Martin, Adrian Hallmark is expected to bring unrivaled experience in both the ultra-luxury and British manufacturing sectors to progress its strategy and continue its recent momentum.
BlackLine hires Sumit Johar as its CIO.
Previously serving as the CIO at Automation Anywhere, Sumit Johar joins BlackLine as its CIO overseeing IT and Information Security. With over 20 years of enterprise cloud experience spanning applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, and engineering, Mr. Johar brings deep knowledge of emerging technology and AI to BlackLine. Reporting to Co-CEO Therese Tucker, Mr. Johar will be responsible for taking BlackLine’s IT infrastructure, business intelligence, and business applications to the next level.

Succeeding Robert B. Carter, Sriram Krishnasamy to become the Chief Digital and Information Officer at FedEx.
Currently serving as the EVP and CTO for FedEx Corporation, as well as the President and CEO of FedEx Dataworks, Sriram Krishnasamy will take over as the Chief Digital and Information Officer at FedEx starting July 1, 2024. Krishnasamy has been associated with FedEx since 1997 and has gained a deep understanding of its network and the importance of supply chains in global connectivity.
