CWS: Hurricane Harvey Devastation in Houston & South Texas

Words cannot convey the devastation in Houston and South Texas, especially as I sit here in beautiful Southern California. My heart goes out to everyone impacted by this tragedy of Biblical proportions.

Bob Dylan said in A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall

Heard the sound of a thunder, it roared out a warnin'
Heard the roar of a wave that could drown the whole world

The hard rain came and it has yet to leave and now the character of Houstonians will be revealed and the humanity of Americans will turn the flood of water into a deluge of love. At CWS we are eager to take to the battle field with our teams and equipment and get right to work repairing whatever damage has been incurred so our residents can get back on their feet and we can do our small part to provide housing for a city that is deeply in need. I am so proud of the extraordinary risk management and safety team and systems we have put in place at CWS over the years. They have been working non-stop for the past 72 hours to ensure the safety of our residents is paramount.

We care deeply about providing our residents with safe and well run, professionally managed communities and we intend to hit the ground running the moment we can gain access to our communities with our people, contractors, and equipment.

Keep the faith Houston. You will emerge from the deluge stronger than ever.
