Another coach on the move from S?o Paulo?is?Juliano Belletti, who has left the Brazilian club’s Under-20s?to become an assistant with Barcelona Atlètic, also known as?Bar?a B. It was Belletti who scored Bar?a’s winning goal against?Arsenal?in the 2006 Champions League final. Former England age-grade manager?Gemma Grainger has stepped down as Wales manager to take over the?Norway?women’s national team.?Grainger leaves the Wales job after two years, but will remain based in Leeds.
A month after being sacked?by?Sunderland, Tony Mowbray has replaced Wayne Rooney?as?Birmingham City?manager. Meanwhile,?Swansea City?and Plymouth Argyle have turned to?Luke Williams?and?Ian Foster, respectively, to revive their Championship fortunes. ? Also following in Rooney’s footsteps?is?Troy Lesesne, who was named?D.C. United?head coach this week. The 40-year-old American?served as interim head coach of?New York Red Bulls?last season. Lastly, a double appointment?for?Burton Albion, with former?Northern Ireland?international Martin Paterson taking on his first head coach role. Meanwhile, in Burton’s academy,?former Ivory Coast youth international Francois Zoko has been appointed head of coaching.
