Spanish coach?Narcís Pèlach (above) has been named as?Stoke City’s new manager. The 36-year-old succeeds?Steven Schumacher, who was dismissed on Monday.?Pèlach arrives from?Norwich?where he was first-team coach, and will be joined at?Stoke?by new members of?staff including coaches?Dean Whiteheadand Paul Clements, plus performance?analyst?Harrison Glew. In League Two,?Carlisle United have appointed Mike Williamson as head coach after?meeting the?release clause in his?MK Dons?contract. Meanwhile, MK Dons stalwart Dean Lewington – who holds the record for the most league appearances?for a single club in?EFL?history?– has been put in temporary charge. And?in the?Women’s Championship,?Bristol City?have named?Leicester City Women’s first-team coach Stephen Kirby as their new manager. Five games?into the new?Scottish Premiership?campaign and Craig Levein’s spell as?St Johnstone manager has come to an end. The former?Scotland?boss returned to management in the role?last?November, staving off the threat of relegation during his time in charge.

Club legend?Daniele De Rossi’s eight-month spell in charge of?Roma?came to an end this week. After succeeding?José Mourinho, he found himself being replaced by?Croatian?coach Ivan Juric (above), following three draws and a defeat from the first four?Serie A?games this season. Elsewhere, former?AC Milan?manager?Stefano Pioli?has been appointed by Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr – otherwise known as?Cristiano Ronaldo’s team –?after they parted ways with?Luis Castro this week. Following their 9-2 thrashing?by?Bayern Munich?in the?Champions Leagueon Tuesday,?Croatian?club?Dinamo Zagreb?sacked Bosnian manager Sergej Jakirovic. And in?Belgium, Anderlecht have called time on the reign of?head coach Brian Riemer, who was formerly?Thomas Frank’s assistant at?Brentford. Football Australia?are now on the lookout for two national-team managers.?Graham Arnold?stepped down as Socceroos head coach today, having been in charge of the men’s national team since 2018. Meanwhile, former?Matildashead coach?Tom Sermanni has stepped in as interim boss of the women’s side, as the search continues for a permanent successor to?Tony Gustavsson.
