Former Belgium manager Marc Wilmots has also left his role as Schalke’s?sporting director.?? Moving into both?a head coach and director of football role is Gregg Berhalter. Three months after his spell as US men’s national team manager came to an end, Berhalter has taken on a dual role at MLS club Chicago Fire. Chelsea have confirmed?that Glenn van der Kraan has now joined the club as academy technical director, from Manchester City. At the same time, Chelsea have promoted?Jack Francis to the position of academy football operations director at Cobham.

Championship leaders Sunderland have named Portuguese coach Pedro Ribeiro (above)?as new assistant head coach to?Régis Le Bris.?In the Women’s Super League,?Stephen Healy has been appointed first-team coach on Rehanne Skinner’s staff at West Ham. And in the Premier League, Wolves have parted company with set-piece coach, Jack Wilson. Former Sunderland striker Kevin Phillips is the new head coach of National League?AFC Fylde. He will be hoping for a substantially longer spell in charge than?former Chelsea midfielder?Claude Makélélé?had?at?Greek club?Asteras Tripolis.?Makélélé resigned this week after only three games, citing club interference.? In Spain, bottom of La Liga?Las Palmas?have replaced?Luis Carrion as head coach with former?Espanyol boss Diego Martínez. Meanwhile, much-travelled Portuguese manager?Ricardo Sá Pinto – whose 16 managerial roles have included Sporting, Red Star Belgrade and Legia Warsaw – has taken over at leading Moroccan club, Raja.
