We start this week by saying that our thoughts are with Roy Hodgson , who Crystal Palace have said is “stable” and “currently undergoing tests in hospital” after being “taken ill” during Thursday morning training. Speculation has been rife that Hodgson is due to be replaced by former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner. Whatever the situation with Palace, Hodgson’s health is paramount and we wish him a speedy recovery. South Korea have sacked?Jürgen Klinsmann, following their Asian Cup semi-final defeat to Jordan on February 6.?“Coach Klinsmann failed to demonstrate leadership that we expected from the national team coach,” said Korean FA?president, Chung Mong-gyu, bringing to an end Klinsmann’s year in the role. Robert Jarni has lost his job?as Croatia Under-17 coach?for openly stating he would support his former club, Spain’s Real Betis , against Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb ?in the Europa Conference League. The Croatian Football Federation said that Jarni, who also played for and managed Dinamo’s rivals, Hajduk Split,?“crossed the line to a position that the federation deems unacceptable”.?

Last season’s Europa League-winning manager?José Luis Mendilibar has taken the reins at Greek side Olympiacos . The Basque head coach got off to a winning start with a 1-0 victory against Ferencváros, in the Conference League on Thursday.?? A Swiss league title winner?with FC Zürich in 2022, German coach André Breitenreiter has been tasked with keeping Huddersfield Town in the Championship.?The 50-year-old German succeeds Darren Moore , who this week made a swift return to management with League One Port Vale . Speaking of FC Zürich, Bo Henriksen departed the Swiss club this week to take over Bundesliga strugglers Mainz , who sacked Jan Siewert after only three months in the job. Elsewhere, Hamburg have axed Tim Walter, as they chase Bundesliga 2 promotion.?In Spain,?í?igo Pérez has replaced?Francisco Rodriguez as head coach of Rayo Vallecano . And in Italy , Serie A basement club Salernitana dismissed Filippo Inzaghi, appointing?former Leyton Orient manager?Fabio Liverani.?
