Poland and Türkiye?have also moved to appoint new men’s national team managers.?Michal Probierz – most recently Poland under-21 coach – has replaced Fernando Santos with the senior Polish side. Meanwhile, former?Milan?and?Sevilla?coach?Vincenzo Montella has taken the Türkiye job, after?Stefan Kuntz was dismissed this week.? In Ligue 1,?Lyon?have appointed former Italy defender Fabio Grosso as their manager. Grosso led?Frosinone to Italy’s Serie B title last season. In a dramatic turn of events?further south, Marseille are hunting for a new manager following Marcelino’s resignation, just three months after his appointment. The 49-year-old replaces?Neil Warnock?as?Huddersfield Town?manager. With a week to go until the WSL kicks off,?Arsenal?icon Kelly Smith has been appointed assistant coach at her former club. She rejoined the Gunners as a coach in April, having previously taken?on a player-coach role there in 2013. Following Cheltenham Town’s tough start?in?League One, manager Wade?Elliott has departed.?A club statement thanked Elliott for achieving?“the club’s second highest finish.”?Assistant manager Kevin Russell has been asked to take interim charge. Also looking for a new manager?are?Oldham Athletic, who?parted company with David Unsworth?after 12 months in charge.?Steve Thompson has taken over?at?the National League club on an?interim basis. In academy news,?Southampton?have appointed Adam Asghar as under-21 head coach and Calum McFarlane as under-18s lead. Asghar?joins from?Sunderland, where he led the under-18s, while McFarlane joins from?Manchester City’s?under-15s.
