Ahead of his final game as Liverpool’s assistant manager, Pep Lijnders?has been announced as the new manager of Austrian Bundesliga side Red Bull Salzburg.?“After PSV Eindhoven, FC Porto and Liverpool FC, I am now moving to another exceptional club with a really good structure and a particular focus on youth development,” said?Lijnders. Going nowhere this summer is Andoni Iraola. Bournemouth’s head coach has been rewarded with a new contract?after?achieving a club-record Premier League points total. The contract extension will take him up to?the end of the 2025/26 season. In the Scottish Premiership,?new Hibernian sporting director Malky McKay?will lead the search for a new manager, after the club dismissed Nick Montgomery earlier this week. Former Watford and?Cardiff City boss McKay was manager of Ross County up until last November.
After a year out of the game,?former Leeds manager Jesse Marsch has taken over as?Canada’s?new head coach.?The Canadian team?are taking part in this summer’s Copa America, which is being held in the United States, ahead of the?2026 World Cup that Canada?is?co-hosting with the US and Mexico.? Nashville SC?have parted ways with?English head coach Gary Smith, along with his assistant coach Steve Guppy. Smith had led Nashville in all four of their previous MLS campaigns. Following their relegation?from the Championship, Huddersfield Town have hired Michael Duff to succeed Andre Breitenreiter. Of the challenge facing him, former Cheltenham, Barnsley and Swansea boss Duff said:?“It’s an opportunity to reset. We want to rebuild it, to pull everything back together and create a winning environment.”
