How long have you been at CHOP? In July I celebrate my two-year anniversary at CHOP.

Briefly describe your role with the STOP IPV team: As a Community Engagement Specialist at CHOP and Lutheran Settlement House (LSH), I work with communities to build their capacity to prevent intimate partner violence and support survivors through education, advocacy, and community organizing.

?What do you find most fulfilling about your job? This can be challenging work but there are always victories to celebrate. Whether small or large, survivors are taking steps every single day to build a safer, more independent life for themselves and their families. Survivors inspire me and give me hope that a world without violence is possible.

1. My favorite hobby is amateur microscopy.
2. Before joining CHOP, I used to work as an emergency department chaplain.
3. I’m an avid transit rider and SEPTA enthusiast.
