CV for German applications #2

General Layout and Structure

Talking about detailed and structured CV′s we neeeed to start at the beginning. Most of you are used to single paged American style CV′s. They are nice, but not if you are applying for approbation or a job in Germany. It should have a structure that makes sense, and everything is following each other. The headings should be clear and one below the other. Make sure that the layout is clean. Use the same fonds everywhere and don′t use more than 2-3 sizes. For example: Headline use size 18/20 - Headings use size 16/18 and 12/14 for the written parts. If you have a lot of work experience it can be 2-3 pages. That′s OK, as long as it is relevant to the job you are applying for. Unnecessary experience can be shortened to a minimum.

Here is an example on how a structure could look like:

1.?????General personal information

2.?????Your work experiences?

3.?????Education

4.?????Trainings and Course

5.?????Hobby′s
