Cutting Your Own Hair?
"You're only as good as your last haircut." - Fran Lebowitz
There is an old saying about the barber's children being the last ones to get a haircut.
This is often true for the micro, small or mid-sized business that serve other businesses.
Often, they are so busy doing things the way they have always done them that they don't have time to notice that they really need a new 'coiffure'.
Something I am personally committed to as the owner of SpearPoint Solutions is helping the businesses that are Vendor Partners on our platform continually stay...freshly styled.
To that end, I recently reached out to each of them with an idea.
I want to help customers get to know the people behind the products, services and training available through our platform.
And, by 'get to know' I mean get to know them as people, not just as business people.
To do that, we are conducting short interviews with the principals from each of the organizations whose products, services or training are available through the SpearPoint Solutions LLC platform.
We will be sharing these on the SpearPointOnline.com site, of course.
But, we will also be sharing these out across multiple other platforms.
The Good News
Below, I am giving you the five questions we are asking the principals from our Vendor Partners.
You, as a micro, small or mid-sized business owner can use these questions to emulate what we are doing.
The Questions
1. Why did you start your business?
?
2. What was your background prior to starting the?business?
?
3. What customers/clients do you serve best or, are your favorite?
?
4. What makes you different from other options?
?
5. Share something non-business-related about the person/people who run the company.?
In business, there is a truism that goes, 'all things being mostly equal, people will do business with and refer business to the people and organizations they know, like and trust'.
These five questions go a long way to fomenting all three for potential customers.
The Results
We will be rolling these out over time but in today's edition I want to share the first couple of them with you.
