Cutting Edge Entrepreneurship

The exponential speed of change has no constant in its equation. Every field, from technology to marketing to resource management has witnessed the berserk momentum of change. In this world, starting or managing a business, does not only require skills but also foresightedness. With everything becoming a state-of the art showoff, how can entrepreneurship not evolve in cutting edge management?
It was envisaged. However, people who didn’t bother evolve with the time, faced the deceleration of change. Enumerated in this article, I will discuss my take on cutting edge entrepreneurship and the qualities an entrepreneur should imbibe to reach success.
Flexibility is the key
First comes wind, and then come storm, and the trees that remain standing bend with respect to the speed. The same applies for modern day entrepreneurs.
The market has changed, the technology has changed, and the consumers have changed. Flexibility is the solution to keeping your business standing strong. The difference between a failing 21 year old and a successful 60 year old, is not their experience or knowledge, but their ability to be malleable. The fact is the job you do or the way you do it has to change every few years in order to keep it fresh and upstanding with the evolution.
Specialization comes handy
You can’t be the jack and the ace at the same time. That is why the concept of team has been introduced. Earlier, the editor of ideas was the creator and the developer or the marketer. Teams would have worked even if they were small. The reason was lack of competition and abundance of opportunities.
However, this is not true in the sudden work scenario. Specialization is required as no one wants an undercurrent dealing of the task. Also overburdening yourself with the expectation of one-man excellence is not right. You can be a know-all but not an implement-all. This is the reason why a strong team withstands the test of market.
Hire till you are not satisfied with your team and keep them updated.
Curiosity didn’t kill the cat
It is OK to be curious. Only when you have the zeal of learning, will you stay updated. Curiosity doesn’t kill the cat now, it makes the cat smarter. To be smart, you have to constantly keep learning. And, to constantly keep learning, you have to be curious. Satiate your thirst of knowledge by keeping up with the recent trends, methods, devices and activities.
This doesn’t only kill the monotony, but gives you an edge over your competitors.
Work, Work, Relax, Repeat
Work comes first. But, if you don’t give yourself the time to overcome the fatigue, you are as good as the paper weight on your desk.
Being hard on yourself when it comes to the realization of your goals is required. But it is also very important that you kill the monotony once in a while. You can reach your goal, all tired and exhausted and not enjoy the result of your hard work and strategies. Or you can enjoy the journey, add new pages to your mastery and reap the result. The choice is yours.
Resilience and smart alternatives makes the CEO successful
The grit to stick to your work, is the first step to success. Resilience is required when your business and work tests you. But you should always be ready with Plan B, C, D…. to your Plan A. Alternatives does not mean you are looking to quit. It means you are smart enough to try your hands at different things if you fail at one.
Summarizing it, what I mean to say is adopt the change instead of refraining from it. Absorb it to experience the rising sun of success. Exercise resilience in your mindset, not in your practices.
